They’re kind of stupid, but the post made me laugh.

This is a brand new site that allows you to see satellite weather animations.  It was developed by the guys at tumblr and has a pretty solid modern interface.  I haven’t tested it on all browsers, but they say it works best in Safari and Chrome.

Just in time for hurricane season!

According to this article, the Oxford English Dictionary “will not be printed again.”  That’s right, its publishers are only going to be selling digital versions.  Here’s what the publisher said:

Until six months ago I was clinging to the idea that printed books would likely last for ever. Since the arrival of the iPad I am now wholly convinced otherwise.

I totally agree, of course.  When’s the last time you looked up a word in the dictionary?  It’s still kind of weird, though.
